1. Introduction

Malabar College of Pharmacy, established by the Malabar Educational & Charitable Trust, is set in a picturesque 25-acre campus in Chekannur. This prospectus relates to the admission to B.Pharm course in Malabar College of Pharmacy, Manoor, Malappuram. This prospectus sets out the rules and regulations for selection and admission to B.Pharm course for the academic year 2024-25 in Malabar College of Pharmacy.

3. Status of Affiliation/Approval of B Pharm course for the academic year 2024-25

The Four Year B. Pharm Course conducted at Malabar College of Pharmacy is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Malabar College of Pharmacy is provisionally affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), Thrissur.

4. Details of Seats

  • Total Number of Seats: 60
  • General Merit: 30 Open to all Candidates
  • Management: 30 Open to all Candidates
  • General Merit: All the applicants are eligible to be considered under General merit.
  • Management Quota: Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or equivalent, with 50% marks in Physics and Chemistry.

5. Eligibility for Admission

  • Citizenship: Indian citizens only.
  • Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology/Mathematics.
  • Age: Applicants should have completed 17 years of age as of 31.12.2024. There is no upper age limit for B.Pharm. course, though changes may apply as per PCI/KUHS rules.

6. Admission Process (2024-25)

Malabar College of Pharmacy is approved by PCI (04.09.2024) and affiliated with KUHS (Order No. 1162/2024/academic/KUHS; 30/10/2024).

6.1. Procedure of Admission

Selected candidates will take admission by paying the prescribed fees on the designated date and time at the college.

7.1. Fee Collection Process

Students can pay the fee via online banking mode or by cheque to the official bank account of Malabar College of Pharmacy.

8. Discontinuation of Course and Payment of Liquidated Damages

If any admitted candidate leaves the college after the notified closing date of admission, the candidate will be liable to pay Liquidated Damage equivalent to the full fee of the course, subject to scrutiny and decision by the Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee for Medical Education in Kerala and/or Courts of Law.

9. Code of Conduct

Every student is required to adhere strictly to the code of conduct of the institution.

10. Prohibition of Ragging

Ragging or any type of misconduct towards any students, either on the college campus or outside, will be considered a criminal offense and will be immediately reported to the police. Perpetrators will not be permitted to continue their study. Every student shall, at the time of admission, furnish a conduct certificate from the institute where they have passed the qualifying examination or the course last attended.
